The isolation, the media and the uncertainty of what's to come has been too much to handle at times! There are many meditation apps out there to help us stay focused and calm. I recently downloaded one and it has helped be stay in the moment and focus on today.
Be well!
Hello, Everyone,
I wanted to let you know that the Village of Northbrook is distributing a limited number of reusable, washable masks for Northbrook residents tomorrow, Thursday, April 23, between 10 am and 3 pm on a first-come-first-served basis (up to 4 per vehicle, as needed, but please only take what you need) in the parking lot at 1657 Shermer Road (formerly Grainger Industrial Supply) .
Here is the article that I read in the Northbrook Patch that covers the details of mask distribution:

In addition, YMCA member, Bonnie, sent me this YouTube video which teaches you how to make a no-sew, reusable mask out of an old t-shirt:
https://youtu.be/BVLgfH8MG18
Bonnie made a mask using the video and is washing it today to see how it holds up. There are also many other resources to teach you how to make a mask on YouTube. If you are unable to get a mask from the village, you might have luck making one.
If you have any suggestions for people to obtain or create masks please email me and I will share your information with others.
Please stay healthy and safe,
Karen

Great idea, Heidi! I think I might give that a try and recommend it to others. Thanks for sharing. Be well, too!
